Strengthening international growth has become one of Europastry’s most important objectives. For this reason, our company has earmarked 10 million euros for the construction of a new production line at the Oldenzaal plant in the Netherlands, which will create 50 new jobs.
The new line is responsible for producing PopDots, the unmistakable hole of the Dots, 100% customizable according to our customers’ needs. Thanks to its innovation, it is capable of producing the most exquisite PopDots, with a multitude of toppings, fillings and toppings. We have also invested in an innovative packaging system that is fully automated and highly flexible in terms of formats.
It should be noted that the production of this line is carbon neutral, operating exclusively with electricity from renewable sources, both from its generation and subcontracted. Likewise, thanks to technologies such as the use of waste heat from the motors, the BREEAM certification of the building and water treatment, Oldenzaal is one of the most efficient plants with the lowest environmental impact in the bakery sector in Europe.
INTERNATIONAL GROWTH
Today Europastry is also a more international company. Today, we sell to more than 80,000 customers in more than 80 countries. Since it began its international expansion in 1992, Europastry now has 22 production plants, two of which are located in Portugal, three in the United States, two in the Netherlands and one in Romania.
Thanks to the strong international growth we have experienced in recent years, sales outside our domestic market (Spain) now represent 50% of the company’s sales.
